Antologia pod redakcją Bob'a Bootha poświęcona legendarnemu konwentowi miłośników fantastyki i horroru "Necon" (The Northeast Regional Fantasy and Horror Convention), który swą historię rozpoczął dzięki Bob'owi i Mary Booth w 1980 roku.

Przez lata uczestnikami konwentu były dziesiątki znanych pisarzy, a raz we wczesnych latach 80-tych odwiedził ich Stephen King. Mówi się, że liczne plotki dotyczące jego kolejnych odwiedzin były wielokrotnie rozsiewane po to aby zwabić większa ilość uczestników.
